Advisory Boards

Women Veteran Social Justice Network is an online social impact community building non profit with the mission to Identify, Connect, and Empower through social, professional and personal connections utilizing electronic and live networking across communities, states, and the world. Technology and collaboration have been tools to remove barriers and firmly anchor and connect an otherwise invisible nation of women who have served with those who are serving and those who are preparing to serve in the military.

We are firmly committed to collaborating and building stronger community networks so veterans can consistently experience life in a way that exemplifies the honor of serving our country.

We recognize the challenges and barriers faced by today’s women military and veterans. We also recognize the tremendous success we experience. It is our intention to be a call to action to: remove barriers, connect to one another and resources; and to exponentially advance leadership roles of women who have served our nation.

Protect Our Defenders (POD) is the only national organization solely dedicated to addressing the epidemic of rape and sexual assault in the military and to combating a culture of pervasive sexual harassment and retribution against victims. We honor, support and give voice to survivors of military sexual assault – including both service members and civilians assaulted by members of the military.

We seek reform to ensure all survivors have access to a fair, impartially administered system of justice.

The Atlanta Commission on Veterans Affairs serves in an advisory capacity by providing policy and legislative guidance to the Atlanta City Council

As Georgia recovers from the recession as the fastest-growing state in the Southeast, we have a historic opportunity – indeed, an unavoidable mandate – to rebuild our workplaces and educational environments according to true standards of equal treatment and opportunity.  Now, Atlanta Women for Equality can offer a unique chance for our legal community to work in concert with Georgia’s many grass-roots organizations, service providers, and community leaders to further the rights of women and girls substantively and indelibly.

– Honor the legacy of Veterans of all wars and conflicts through planning, fundraising and construction of monuments that denote all Veterans sacrifices and protections of freedom, justice and equality we hold dear as a nation.

– To advise and make recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer of DeKalb County, GA on a variety of Veteran educational and commemorative activities designed to elevate the public’s knowledge of the historical contributions of Veterans.
